In-Vitro-Fertilization (IVF)
In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) Translates to fertilisation outside the body. In IVF, the female egg cells are retrieved outside the body, combined with the male sperm cells to create embryos. Embryos are grown in the IVF lab and transferred back into the womb of the female.
Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
Like IVF, with the difference that the sperm cells are manually injected into each egg cell. ICSI helps solving male factor infertility where the sperm count or motility is low, or abnormal forms is high.
IUI – Intrauterine Insemination
Intra uterine insemination (IUI) is the process of inserting processed sperms in the uterus near the fallopian tube to assist fertilization IUI is the basic treatment of infertility.
Follicular Study
A womens ovary has 6 million oocytes at puberty. At every menstrual cycle a group of antral follicles, 10-15 in number start growing. An antral follicle consists of an oocyte (female egg) surrounded by granulosa and theca cells
Laparoscopy
Laproscopy is a way of performing key hole surgery. Instead of making a large incision (or cut) for certain operations, surgeons makes tiny incision and insert thin instruments with a camera attached to a telescope into an area,
Donor Egg
Donor egg IVF or egg donation is a process in which donor eggs are fertilized with the husbands’ sperms, embryo is formed and then inserted in the wife’s uterus. Donor eggs are eggs (oocytes / ovum) taken from an egg donor for the purpose of making embryos.
Donor Sperm
Donor sperm IVF is the process in which the eggs are retrieved and fertilized using donor sperm. The entire process is same as traditional IVF only the sperms change during IVF.
Donor Embryo
Embryo donation is a form of third-party reproduction in which unused embryos remaining from one person/couple's in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment are donated to another person or couple.
Egg , Sperm and Embryo Freezing
Donor egg IVF or egg donation is a process in which donor eggs are fertilized with the husbands’ sperms, embryo is formed and then inserted in the wife’s uterus. Donor eggs are eggs (oocytes / ovum) taken from an egg donor for the purpose of making embryos.
Hysteroscopy
Hysteroscopy is a process by which the inner part of the uterus which is the endometrium lining can be seen through a small camera attached to the scope. This gives us a better view of what is inside the uterine cavity.
Laser Assisted Hatching
Laser assisted hatching is a technique by which the zona which is the outer covering of the egg and embryo is cut using a laser beam. This helps the embryo to implant faster on the uterus.

PCOD
PCOD meaning polycystic ovaries. This means that women with PCOD will have more than 10 eggs in each ovary. Ovary is the structure that holds eggs inside it.
Low AMH
AMH determines the number of eggs left in the ovaries. More the value of AMH, more are the number of oocytes and less the value of AMH less are the number of oocytes.
Zero Sperm Count
Sometimes you might get a semen report done and the sperm count is zero. there is no need to worry. Even if the sperm count is zero in the semen, sperms can be extracted from the tests
Tubal Block
Fallopian tubes are tube like structure between the ovaries and the uterus. These are also called salpinges or uterine tubes. These tubes lead the eggs form the ovaries to the uterus.
Unexplained Infertility
The molecular basis of reproduction is not fully understood today. Hence, many couples, with normal basic investigations, are labeled as having unexplained Infertility.
Failed IVF / ICSI
If you have faced a failed IVF, you will be reading this page. There will be a lot of things in your mind like why did my IVF fail? What was the reason for IVF failure ?
Fibroids and Polyps
Fibroids are tumours present in the uterus. Well when I say tumours there is nothing to worry about them. They are made up pf muscle and fibrous connecting tissues. They are not harmful to the body. These are very common in women
Thin Endometrium Lining
Endometrium is the uterine lining on which the embryo implants. The embryo grows on the endometrium and the baby gets all the nourishments form the mother through the endometrial tissue.
Endometriosis
Endometriosis is a painful disorder in which endometrial tissue form the uterus spreads in the tubes and to the other parts of the pelvis.
Repeated Abortions
For all the couples out there who have had one or more abortions , you will defitaely conceive and there is no doubt in that. In suh cases the implantation , which means that the potential of the uterus to implant a baby is proven
Preterm labor
Preterm labor occurs when regular contractions result in the opening of your cervix after week 20 and before week 37 of pregnancy. Preterm labor can result in premature birth.
Low Sperm Count and Motility
Men with low sperm count and low motility can conceive with the help pf ICSI. This is a treatment designed to treat male infertility problems. To know more about these treatments
